The theme for this NSOER is Restoring the environment for livelihood improvement and sustainable economic development. Using the Driving Forces-Pressures-State-Impacts-Response (DPSIR) approach, we assess changes in the environment, the forces driving those changes, how they have impacted livelihoods and also been harnessed to improve human wellbeing. The NSOER has been separated into three sections; Part 1 providing the general overview of the environment sector, Part 2 providing the state and trends of the natural resources, Part 3 progression of environmental policies in Uganda and Part 4 focusing on scenarios.
